From nature-rich Miyazaki to the world
Miyazaki, where I was born and raised, is located on the island of Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan's large islands.
It is blessed with rich nature and a mild climate, and is a treasure trove of foodstuffs, with abundant harvests of 'seafood', 'mountain produce', etc.
Livestock farming and agriculture are also very active, and the food self-sufficiency rate based on production value has been the highest in Japan for 23 consecutive years.
Miyazaki, which boasts Japan's top production of various foodstuffs, is blessed with a mild climate, moderate
rainfall and fertile soil, making it an ideal environment for growing tea. The area of tea plantations ranks seventh in Japan, and the production of rough tea fourth in the country. In recent years, the production of organic tea has been increasing.
We opened this shop with the aim of bringing the wonderful organic tea from Miyazaki to the world, which are still less well known than those from Shizuoka and Kyoto. We hope you will enjoy our selection of the best organic tea from Miyazaki.
